Install Shotcut APK on Android TV and Google TV
Sideload ShotCut AI on Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips and other TVs running Android TV or Google TV, using a USB stick or a file manager app.

Before you start
Install the Shotcut APK on Your TV
Menu names differ slightly between TV brands. Pick the closest match if a label is not exactly the same on your set.
- Turn on developer optionsOpen Settings, System, About, and select Android TV OS build seven times.
- Install a file managerFrom the Google Play Store on your TV, install a free file manager such as File Commander or X-plore.
- Get the Shotcut APK onto the TVCopy the APK to a USB stick and plug it in, or download it straight to the TV inside the file manager.
- Allow the file manager to install appsWhen prompted, open Settings and turn on Install unknown apps for your file manager.
- Install ShotCutBrowse to the file, select it and choose Install. Pair a Bluetooth mouse before you start editing.
Troubleshooting
My Samsung or LG TV will not open the Shotcut APK
Samsung TVs run Tizen and LG TVs run webOS, not Android, so APK files cannot be installed on them. Plug in a Fire TV Stick or a Google TV streaming device and follow our Fire TV guide instead.
ShotCut does not appear on the home screen
Apps made for phones often have no TV launcher icon. Open ShotCut from Settings, Apps, See all apps, or install a launcher that lists sideloaded apps.
The TV does not see my USB stick
Format the stick as FAT32 or exFAT on your computer, copy the Shotcut APK again and try another USB port on the TV.
